Groupon board to discuss replacing CEO: Report

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Groupon's board of directors is expected to meet Thursday, possibly to replace the company's chief executive.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the Chicago-based deals company could begin a search to replace Andrew Mason.

Sources tell the Journal that board members are unhappy with Groupon's stock performance.

Groupon shares were up 8 percent Wednesday afternoon after the news broke. That's still far below its $20 debut.
