Man fatally stabbed at NW Side home

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Investigators continued to question a man early Thursday after he allegedly stabbed to death his cousin on the Northwest Side, authorities said.

Raymond Ogara, 41, was stabbed multiple times in the neck at his home in the 5400 block of North Natoma Avenue about 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said. He was dead on the scene.

Police cuffed Ogara's cousin shortly after, police said, and he told investigators he and Ogara were "play wrestling" when Ogara was stabbed. Police said Ogara's cousin was intoxicated when they arrived at the home.

An autopsy performed Wednesday ruled Ogara's death a homicide.

Charges had not been filed against Ogara's cousin as of early Thursday, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
