CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Illinois officials say their "Drive to Survive" campaign worked to save lives during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says they saw a 63 percent drop in motor vehicle deaths compared with last year.

This year officials report three deaths and two crashes during the four-day weekend.

That's compared with eight deaths and seven crashes the same period last year.
