Service gives you a report on your teen's driving

Posted: Updated:

How is your teen driving?  You can now hire a service that will have an off-duty or retired cop follow your child for several minutes and then send you a report.

The cost is $99.

Speed and whether teens are texting, talking on a cell phone and wearing a seat belt are among what is observed.

"Now more teens are killed in car crashes because not just their limited skill set, but because of the distractions -- on a cell phone, texting and then having other kids in the car," said Philip Hubs from Quest Driving Safety.

"The number one way teens are dying in the U.S. isn't drugs or gang violence.  It's dying on the roadways.  There's a need for it for sure," said Gary Lawrence from Quest Driving Safety.

The service is offered in many states, including here in Michigan.  For more information, visit www.QuestDrivingSafety.com.
