Talker: How was your Black Friday shopping experience?

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Stores opened earlier than ever this year--many even opening up Thursday night.

The stores promised the best deals and shoppers were ready. State Street was packed Friday afternoon with shoppers looking for great deals.

One of the hot-spots was the new downtown Target at State and Madison, where the crowds were busy, but not overwhelming.

We wanted to hear everyone's best Black Friday stories, from the good to the bad, to the weird.

"I had a homeless guy down the street trying to sell me coupons for Black Friday deals from last night," one woman said.

"It's actually less busy than it has been in the past," said another. "I was quite surprised. But, yeah, some good deals out this year."

"A bomber jacket for $15 dollars at Target!" a woman exclaimed of her great deal.

"It's a little less crowded than last year," someone else told our cameras. "It's been in and out, lines not too long, it hasn't been too bad this year."

"I'm not having the best of luck," a fifth woman said of her shopping experience. "I could just wait until the year switches over, and everybody marks their prices off, just wait till then."
