CICERO, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
The Cook County Sheriff's office seeks the public's help in identifying the skeletal remains of a man found four years ago near west suburban Cicero.
Landscapers discovered the skeletal remains in a remote wooded area near Pershing Road and Central Avenue in July 2008, according to a release from the sheriff's office. It is estimated that the body was in the area for three to eight months before being discovered.
A forensic artist used 3-D technology to create a facial sketch of what the man looked like before his death, the sheriff's office said.
The victim is described as a white man, 5-feet-1 to 5-feet-6, 55-75 with gray and brown hair, according to the sheriff's office. He had an obvious crooked nose and a gap between his two front teeth.
Anyone with information should contact the sheriff's office at (708) 865-6244.
