CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
One more thing, about the Hostess brands bankruptcy. The reason their labor problems have been getting so much news coverage is because all of us used to claim at least one Hostess product as a guilty pleasure--or still do.
I once came home from a bad date and ate two packs of Zingers.
They probably decided to call them Ho-Ho's because with 43 grams of sugar and 60% of the recommended daily allowance of saturated fat, you'll look like Santa Claus after eating a few.
The fruit pie. The expiration date should say, "you should live so long."
Modern science still hasn't identified the cream filling in the cupcakes.
I never knew anyone who liked Snoballs. Most people don't crave the taste of a kitchen sponge.
And, Twinkies. They got smaller, but the list of 39 ingredients hasn't. It includes elements from five types of rock. I'm glad Hostess put some natural ingredients in their most famous product.
