A north suburban pizza delivery man was robbed of his pizzas, as well as his cash, wallet and cell phone, by three masked men -- one of whom had a knife -- late Tuesday.
The 26-year-old delivery driver arrived at a building in the 800 block of Case Street in Evanston about 11:45 p.m., according to Evanston police Cmdr. Jay Parrott.
He had been told to ring the bell in the common area of the apartment/condo building, and when he did, he was approached by three males, all with their faces covered, Parrott said. One of the offenders held a knife.
They demanded the victim's property and told him they were armed with a gun, as well as the knife, according to a police report. They took his wallet, $150 in cash, a Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone, some keys and two pepperoni pizzas, according to police.
They then ran out of the building, Parrott said. The delivery man was not injured.
No one was in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
