CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
A memorial fund has been established for fallen Chicago firefighter Walter Patmon Jr.
Patmon died after suffering a heart attack at his firehouse on 95th Street. He was cleaning his equipment after responding to a small Beverly fire, when he experienced shortness of breath and went into cardiac arrest.
BMO Harris bank has joined with the Chicago Firefighters Union to set up a fund for his family.
Bank officials encourage anyone to visit a local branch and make a donation. Checks can be made payable to the Walter Patmon Memorial Fund.
This is the same organization and website taking donations for the memorial fund set up for Capt. Herbert Johnson, a 33-year veteran who passed away from injuries sustained while fighting a Gage Park blaze.
