
Police are seeking a robber or robbers striking people answering a Craigslist ad in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.
The victims saw an ad posted on the Craigslist website and arranged meet the suspect in the 400 block of East 49th Street on Monday, Nov. 5, at 11:30 p.m.; and Monday, Nov. 12, at 9:45 p.m., according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
The suspect then displays a handgun, escorts the victims to the rear of a building or alley, and steals their property, car keys and vehicles, the alert said.
One victim was shot during a robbery, the alert said.
The suspects are described as one to two men, ages 20-30, 5-foot-5 to 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, the alert said. Police would not say just what the Craigslist posting was advertising.
