It was cheating scandal Monday for this week's first Chat Room, as Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and consultant Rochelle Trotter dish on two powerful men being brought down - or challenged - by alleged affairs.

Susanna thinks he had the recipe for an affair all lined up: deployment away from home, a long marriage, close relationship/travel with someone who was clearly in awe of his power. She just can't believe he was so careless in his lack of cover up with email trails left between himself and his lover.
Rochelle agreed on the email track, but stated she didn't think an affair was grounds for resignation. Instead her concern is what highly classified information he may have leaked to his lover during their affair.

She thinks we should not be surprised about his inappropriate spending, as we all know what sort of money he makes yet it was revealed years ago how he flew his lover back and forth to visit him.
Rochelle stated that his deception in not revealing this possible deal until a day after the election is suspect, as he fooled many who voted for him in his landslide win. She thinks something is wrong in general with choices for Congressmen in that district, as he is the third consecutive one to be involved in a sex scandal!
