November 11: Winter visits Sunday night and Monday with wind, storms, cold and snow

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Sunday will start with some sunshine, but clouds will increase ahead of a powerful cold front. Highs will be in the 60s and it will be very windy.

By Sunday evening, a shower or storm is possible, then the front passes and behind it temperatures plummet 30 degrees overnight to near freezing.  We could see 1/2" to 1" of rain and there is the possibility of some snow accumulating on grassy areas.

Monday will be cold and windy with highs only in the 30s and periods of flurries. Roads may be icy in places.

High pressure builds in by Tuesday and sunshine returns with highs in the low 40s to low 50s for the remainder of the week.

Going to the BEARS GAME...carry the rain poncho and be prepared for windy conditions and temperatures at kick-off near 60 degrees falling to the 40s at the final down.


SUNDAY: Some sun in the morning then increasing clouds. It will be windy and mild with highs in the mid 60s. By evening a shower or thunderstorm is possible and overnight temperatures plummet with rain and snow possible. Lows between 28-34.

MONDAY: Partly sunny, windy and cold with periods of flurries. Highs near 36 and lows near 26. Wind chills in the teens and 20s.

TUESDAY: Sunny and cold with highs near 40 and lows near 29.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 47 and lows near 29.


THURSDAY: Clouds increase and a shower is possible. Highs in the upper 40s and lows in the mid 30s.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 52 and lows near 38.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny with a chance of showers. Highs near 52 and lows near 39.
