CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Human remains were found in a pond in a northwest suburban subdivision on Friday near where a 25-year-old resident missing for more than a week was last seen, South Barrington Police say.

Vance Chidera Nwankwo's mom filed a missing person report with police on Nov. 1, two days after he was last seen, Deputy Police Chief Raymond Cordell said.

On Friday, police reported that the Barrington Fire Department found human remains using sonar equipment, and that a body is being removed. Identification is pending.

Police described Nwankwo as a 6-foot-1 black man last seen dressed in an Incredible Hulk costume.

Nwankwo's friends told the Barrington Courier-Review that his cell phone, wallet and keys were left in his home, and one of his shoes was found outside.

Vance Nwankwo went to a party at a Schaumburg bar called Drink dressed as the Hulk the day before Halloween. He disappeared afterwards.
