Rutherford, Walsh among names who may challenge Quinn

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Now that the presidential election has been decided, some of the focus shifts to the race for Illinois governor.

Republicans are already tossing around some names to challenge Gov. Pat Quinn in 2014. Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford and State Senator Kirk Dillard say they'll announce their plans next week.

Congressman Joe Walsh, defeated in Tuesday's election, also is considering a run. Walsh says as governor he would veto last year's income tax increase.

On the Democratic side, Mayor Daley's brother Bill is said to be considering a challenge to Gov. Quinn.
