Person open fires on car parked on Far South Side, wounds woman

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A woman was shot while sitting inside a parked car parked in the Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side early Thursday, police said.

Police say a person with a gun approached a parked car at 119th and Lafayette Avenue about 1 a.m. and opened fire.

The 33-year-old woman was shot in the right thigh. The driver of the car sped off after the shooting and drove to the nearby Roseland Community Hospital, where the woman was listed in "stable" condition, police said.

Police have made no arrests as Area South detectives investigate the shooting.
