A "young female" was sexually assaulted Tuesday morning while walking her dog in the South Side Hyde Park neighborhood.
She was walking her dog near East 52nd Street and South Berkeley Avenue when a man came from behind, forced her between garages and sexually assaulted her Tuesday morning, according to a community alert from Wentworth District police.
The attacker is described as a 35- to 40-year-old black man with a dark complexion and a slim to medium build, police said. He is 6-feet-2 to 6-feet-4 with short black hair and brown eyes.
He was wearing a black jacket with a yellow stripe on the arms from the shoulder down, blue jeans and black Nike shoes, police said.
Police are investigating the murder of a homeless man who was beaten to death in an alley in Logan Square.
