Election officials: Voter turnout in Chicago about same as ‘08

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago election officials predict voter turnout Tuesday was roughly equal to that of 2008's presidential election.

The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners estimates a voter turnout for Chicago of about 73.8 after absentee ballots are accounted for, said spokesman James P. Allen.

That percentage is roughly identical to voter turnout in 2008, Allen said in an email late Tuesday.
