Saint Elizabeth Seton was filled with those who know and love the Plackowski family. They gathered to say goodbye to 7-year-old Justin Monday night.
"It's very quiet. The cousin is here from the military, the dad is holding up along with the son, pretty well considering what has happened, its closed casket, candles on each side," explained Shirley Mosakowski, a neighbor.
This is the same church where police say Elzbieta Plackowska came after police say she killed her 7-year-old son Justin and 5-year-old Olivia Dworakowski, a girl she was babysitting.
Neighbors Monday remember the relationship Justin had with his older brother, Matt.
"They were together all the time. He was with him all the time. And so was the mom, so was she. So it was shocking to hear what happened," Melissa Mosakowski said.
"I never actually knew his younger brother but I knew that he really did love his younger brother, that was like one of the light of his world, I'm sure this is very hard for him," said friend of the family, Kevin St. Clair.
A close friend of Justin's father, Derek Dabrowski, says the family that is now broken loved one another dearly. He has been spending time with the grieving father.
"He's doing pretty good I would say for his loss, but you won't see that on the outside," said Dabrowski. "But, the pain as a friend of mine, I could see that he's taking it very, very, rough."
