U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk has appeared in a campaign video for fellow Republican Bob Dold, who is running for Congress in Illinois' 10th District.
The senator is still recovering after suffering a major stroke earlier this year. He has been appearing in videos over the past several months to communicate with constituents. The Daily Herald reports Thursday that Kirk wrote an email to Dold supporters accompanying the video, saying Dold works across political parties to "move our country forward."
The video is set to music, showing Kirk wearing a bomber jacket, talking and laughing with Dold in front of a Dold campaign bus.
Dold faces Democrat Brad Schneider in Tuesday's general election.
Schneider, on the other hand, has been endorsed by President Obama who said, "America's middle class needs Brad Schneider in Congress to stand up and fight for them. Brad will create jobs here at home by building from the middle out, not the top down."
