SAINT CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WJBK) -- There have been two Check 'n Go robberies in Macomb County with the same m.o.  A man pretends to want to cash a bad check and when he's told it's no good, he bends down and pulls a gun.

In Clinton Township on October 18, a second man can clearly be seen in the doorway on surveillance video.  Then the man pulls a gun demanding all the cash inside the store.  He screams at the clerk while holding his gun to her back, sometimes pushing it in the back of her skull.  Begging for her life, she opens the cash drawer giving him everything inside.

Police are now working to connect that incident to a robbery Monday morning.  Surveillance video shows a man with a similar build making small talk at the Check 'n Go in Saint Clair Shores.  The clerk tries to appear pleasant when she tells him his check is no good.  Then, suddenly, the man pulls a gun (pictured above) and jumps on the counter.  He puts the woman in a headlock before forcing her to unlock the cash drawer.  He even took her to another drawer, but there was nothing inside.  He escapes leaving the woman trembling and sobbing before she pressed the panic button and calls police.

Saint Clair Shores Police are looking for possibly a red or burgundy, late model, four door Oldsmobile Aurora that was waiting for the suspect outside.
