Kenny Williams reveals romance with TV news star: EXCLUSIVE

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Now that the World Series is over, White Sox fans can stop being reminded of where their team should have been.

SEE: Kenny Williams: How Hahn can do my old job better

The former General Manager of the Sox, Kenny Williams, shares the pain of many Chicagoans and says he didn't watch any of it.

"No. why would I? Let me watch all those guys out there having all that fun and all those fans cheering in their cities and it didn't come to our city," Williams told FOX Chicago News.

The recently divorced Kenny Williams has been taken off the dating market by former Chicago broadcaster-turned-CNN-morning-host, Zoraida Zambolin.

"I'm the happiest I've been as an adult in my life," says Williams.

The change in Williams' job duties should give him more time for their commuter relationship, and a lot of personal stuff he's missed out on for a dozen years.

"I don't think people really understand how all encompassing this position can be," Williams explains. "It is a grind and it takes a toll on your family life."

Williams is looking forward to the more normal schedule as he gives up the day to day operations of the team. He's settling into his new home and learning to exhale.

The first ever African American General Manager in the Major Leagues, Williams has always lived up to a high profile. He's a driven, workaholic whose good looks and outspoken style make him a media magnet, but he still leery of the limelight.

When Nike came calling this spring, Williams almost turned them down. But, his goal is the same as ever: getting back to the World Series. Now he has to look at everything that makes a franchise successful.

"We had always heard if you perform on the field, people will come and it doesn't happen, you have to look at how you're doing business," says Williams.

When a first place team playing in a snazzy stadium can't fill the seats, there is a problem. Some smart alec newsman - a Cubs fan no less - has suggested the Southsiders make their neighborhood more entertaining.

"Bob Sirott is right, he's absolutely right but there nothing we can do about it."

But, no one said it's gonna be easy.
