Two teens charged in Chicago Police stable burglary

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Two teen boys have been charged in a September burglary at a Chicago Police Dept. stable that left two horses injured in the South Shore neighborhood.
The teens, a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, were each charged with felony burglary and five felony counts of injury to a police animal, according to police News Affairs.
The burglary occurred about midnight on Sept. 17 at a police facility in the 7000 block of South Shore Drive, police News Affairs Officer Joshua Purkiss said.
One horse suffered a minor injury to the leg and another suffered a chemical burn to his nose from a fire extinguisher, Purkiss said.
