CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Seven children, none with serious injuries, were taken to hospitals Friday morning after a school bus struck a median on the West Side.

At 8:05 a.m., the bus was involved in an accident at Madison Street and Hoyne Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs. The bus struck a median when it attempted to avoid striking another vehicle, police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.

While there was major damage to the bus, no one inside was badly injured, fire officials said.

The children were taken to the hospitals for evaluation, police said.

Seven were taken to hospitals, all in good condition, according to Fire Media Affairs. Three were taken to Rush University Medical Center, two to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and two to the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. The driver of the bus refused medical attention.
