Fair-housing group files complaint against BofA

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A fair housing group says Bank of America treats foreclosed properties in white neighborhoods better than it does in minority areas.

Chicago and Milwaukee were added to a list of cities in a nationwide complaint by the National Fair Housing Alliance.

The alliance says in the Chicago area, foreclosed homes in minority areas were almost five times more likely to have broken doors or locks, and over twelve times more likely to have damaged windows.

Bank of America has strongly denied the allegations.
