Hearings to outline bulk electricity shopping for residents

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Mayor Emanuel wants go shopping in bulk for electricity.

He outlined a competitive process on Monday ahead of a November 6 referendum.

It's an effort to reduce utility bills.

He also has scheduled four public hearings to educate residents until November 1.

They begin Tuesday night at Arturo Velazquez Institute. They continue Thursday at Kennedy King College, October 30 at Truman College, and November 1 at Wright College.

They all begin at 7 p.m.
