Winnebago County considers concealed carry ordinance

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
Board members in Winnebago County, near Rockford, are discussing a concealed carry ordinance. But Illinois prohibits the practice, and is the only remaining state to do so.
There's a grassroots movement in Winnebago County taking aim at the law.
The first of two hearings was held last night in Rockford. About 50 people attended.
The ordinance is said to be facing an uphill battle. The Winnebago County state's attorney said the county could not circumvent the state statute.
