Grandmother and baby struck in Lincoln Park, both in critical condition

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A grandmother and her infant grandson were struck by a vehicle in Lincoln Park on Monday.

The police report they were hit around 11:45 a.m. in the 2400 block of N. Clark St. The driver remained on the scene after the accident.

They are both in critical condition. The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital to be treated for a possible broken leg or collar bone, and the child to Lurie Children's Hospital to treat a possible leg injury.

Police issued the driver two citations for hitting pedestrians in the roadway.
