Bears players plan fundraiser for slain fan

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago Bears players are stepping up to help the family of the fan who was murdered before last Sunday's game in Jacksonville.

The fundraiser is being organized by tight end Kellen Davis.

Current and former Bears players are pitching in.

Star receiver Brandon Marshall says it's "only right" for the players to help.

William "Chris" Pettry was stabbed to death inside a Jacksonville bar.

A Florida man is being held in his murder.
