A 21-year-old was shot to death inside his home on the South Side Thursday.
Police were called to the 600 block of East 87th Place near St. Lawrence in the Chatham neighborhood just after noon.
Rakiem Douman, 21, was standing in front of his house when he was shot
several times attempting to run inside, according to the Cook County
Medical Examiner's office.
Douman suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Area South detectives continued investigating the shooting Thursday night, and had no word on arrests yet.
