OKAWVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Authorities in southern Illinois say they're investigating after a second body was found along a freeway in Washington County in less than a month.
Sheriff's investigators haven't yet released the identity of the body found Tuesday near Interstate 64 close to Okawville.
An autopsy is planned.
The discovery of the body Tuesday came just three weeks after the remains of 29-year-old Kelvin Swingler of St. Louis turned up along the interstate, also near Okawville. Swingler had been reported missing by his mother on Aug. 25.
Washington County Coroner Mark Styninger has ruled that case a homicide.
