There is a restaurant chili challenge brewing in Metro Detroit. It's called the "Great Lakes Regional Chili Cook off" and there can only be one winner.

Event Director Annette Horn along with MGM Grand Detroit Chef Alexjandro Garza will be hosting the chili cook off event.

The 16th Annual Great Lakes Regional Chili Cook off will take place this Sunday, October 14th from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. It's in downtown Plymouth.

Winners of the competition will hold a spot to cook in the "International Chili Society." It's the world's championship chili cook off.

All the proceeds from the event go to charities of the chef's choice. Other events at the cook off include a salsa competition, motorcycle show, dance performances, hottest dog in the coolest city and kids activities.
