CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
One more thing about the new plans for Chicago's Riverfront.
All the recent talk of what our Riverwalk may look like if funds become available reminded me of a great public space that exists along the river downtown right now---and it's still one of Chicago's best kept secrets.
If you just drive by Wacker and Wabash you can't tell that just below the street is a hidden park. Most people don't even notice the visitor's center behind the trees, where you can sign up for boat, bus, and walking tours, or rent bikes. Take the long stairway down and you enter this quiet place of reflection. It's part of the city's Vietnam memorial--a peaceful oasis downtown, in the shadow of the big buildings near East Wacker. It's like another world down here---a great place to get away, take a walk along the river, maybe even do a little writing.
What better spot to write the script for this "One More Thing" than right here?
