Ralph Godbee returns home, says little to the media

Posted: Updated:

ROMULUS, Mich. -- Suspended Police Chief Ralph Godbee is back home in Detroit.  As expected, he landed at metro Detroit Wednesday evening and was greeted with questions from a crowd of reporters.

"It's an open investigation.  Attorneys have been retained, so I cannot speak about it at this point," Godbee told reporters.

"Will you resign while the investigation is going on?" FOX 2's Charlie LeDuff asked him.

"I have no comment," Godbee replied.

"This is more than about sex.  This is about how the police department is being run.  You promised to do it better.  You got a chance that Warren Evans didn't get.  Are you ashamed of yourself?" LeDuff further asked the chief.

"I have no comment at this time, Charlie."
