2 shot in North Aurora home invasion

NORTH AURORA, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are looking for two suspects who shot two men during a home invasion in west suburban North Aurora early Tuesday.

Police responded about 7:05 a.m. to a call of a shooting at an apartment building in the 100 block of South River Road, North Aurora police said in a release.

Officers found two men with gun shot wounds; a 22 year old male who was shot in the arm and a 23 year old male who was shot in the chest. They were taken to Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora and their condition at this time is unknown, according to police.

The two suspects are described as Hispanic men, 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-8 and about 150-170 pounds. They were armed with at least one stainless steel semi-automatic handgun, according to police.

The North Aurora police department is investigating with the Aurora police department, Kane County Sheriff's Office, and the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force.
