CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
Chicago teachers will vote on the new contract that forced them to stage their first strike in 25 years. About 30,000 teachers and other union members will cast ballots in their schools on Monday.
Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis will be at Dyett High School Monday morning, to cast her vote on whether to accept the tentative contract which ended the strike a few weeks ago.
Voting will last throughout the day in all Chicago Public Schools, and on the fourth floor of Merchandise Mart, at CTU headquarters.
The
votes will be collected and tallied this week, and results will be announced Thursday, October 4.
