7 dogs trapped over time in abandoned pool

Posted: Updated:
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (MyFox Detroit) -

A total of 7 dogs have been trapped in an uncovered pool.  Some have made it out alive; some have not.

The Humane Society says this situation is out of control.

An uncovered pool filled with murky, trashy water sits in the back of a burned out building on the 19000 block of Greenfield Road. The building has been condemned as dangerous and unsafe. Fox 2 has alerted city officials.

The property went into foreclosure last year and is apparently owned by either Michigan Land Bank or the Wayne County Treasurer's Office. Regardless, the Treasurer's Office says a crew will be sent out soon to clear the pool.
