Candidate Bio: Timothy Wolfe - 9th District

Posted: Updated:

Timothy Wolfe is a 2012 Republican candidate running for the 9th Congressional District of Illinois. He will face incumbent Janice Schakowsky who is seeking re-election on the Democratic ticket.

Wolfe is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner who has had his own tax and accounting practice for over 20 years in Mt. Prospect. He is running for office for the first time because he believes "this country is in a financial mess which is a direct result of a lack of accountability and integrity of many of our public officials."

The 9th district includes all of Evanston, Skokie, Niles, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Park Ridge, and Norridge. Parts of Wilmette, Northfield, Gleview, Golf, Rosemont, Des Plaines, and the North Side of Chicago are included as well.

Instead of the government trying to pick winners and losers, such as in the Solyndra case, the government should be working with the private sector in an open fashion and possibly creating public/private partnerships for huge projects such as building a new gasoline refinery or improving our infrastructure.
