Firefighters were able to control a fire in a trailer in Crystal Lake Friday afternoon that caused about $40,000 in damages.
Firefighters responded at 2:53 p.m. to the trailer at 7920 Ridgefield Road in the northwest suburb, according to a release from the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department.
The contents of the trailer were a complete loss due to heat, smoke, and water damage, the release said. The fire was contained to one trailer unit and no other trailers were damaged.
No one was in the trailer and no firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined but is not considered suspicious.
