Body found in Lake Michigan near Navy Pier

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Police Marine Unit officers pulled the body on an unidentified man from Lake Michigan near Navy Pier Friday morning.

The body was spotted by employees of a boat cleaning service in Lake Michigan just north of Navy Pier about 7:20 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said.

The police Marine Unit responded and officers pulled the body out of the water near the 1000 block of East Ohio Street, authorities said.

The man is believed to have been in his 40s, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. The cause of death is unknown and an autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
