Ernie Harwell auction brings in $30,000

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Personal items belonging to legendary Tigers announcer Ernie Harwell raised big money in an auction Saturday. A crowd came out for one final chance to take home a piece of baseball history from Harwell's collection.

The auction raised about $30,000. The money will go to the Ernie Harwell foundation to benefit inner-city children.
