Saundra Roberts said her Detroit home was targeted by crooks not once, but twice this week. Two suspects were caught on camera and she's hoping you can help identify them.
"It's scary because you always think someone might, maybe, but someone actually doing it, that's kind of a little fear because what if I was at home," said homeowner Saundra Roberts.
Roberts' cameras got pictures of two suspects on two different days both in the mid-morning. One guy was wearing an old English D Tigers cap and the other guy was wearing a Carhartt winter cap with ear flaps tied up over the top.
"So yesterday, a guy just causally (walked) in my backyard like he lived here, went straight to my patio and cut the screen on my patio and kicked in my armor guard door and he set off the alarm, and he ran as soon as the alarm went off," Roberts explained.
Someone on Friday actually broke in and stole diamond jewelry and cash.
The ADT alarm company notified police and Roberts and within minutes police were on scene, but both suspects managed to escape.
"So when I pulled up, the actual uniform cops, they were here. It was two young ladies. They were so nice. They were here. They were already on the scene, so by the time I came home, they were already here before I got here. So I would say literally they came like minutes after he left," Roberts said.
Roberts has been in this neighborhood for ten years and said that in her view, the horrible economy is what brought out the crooks.
If you have any information about these incidents, you are asked to call Detroit Police.
