Police warn Lawndale residents of beatings, robberies: Alert

Police are warning Lawndale residents of a recent increase of beatings and robberies on the Southwest Side.

Three males approach their victims, beat them and flee with their property, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

The attacks happened about 2:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Harding Avenue and 9 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Keeler Avenue, police said.

The attackers are only described as three Hispanic males, the alert said.
