Teen robbers target female victims in Chicago Lawn: Alert

Police in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood are warning residents about two teens who have robbed at least two female victims in the past week.

The first attack happened about Friday 2:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of South Spaulding Avenue, according to a community alert issued by police. Another happened two days later, about 7:35 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Kedzie Avenue.

In each case, two male suspects have approached and forcibly taken property from female victims, the alert said.

They are described as male Hispanics between 16 and 18 years old and roughly 120 pounds, the alert said. One is about 4-foot-10 and the other stands 5-feet.

Authorities are urging residents to be aware of their surrounding and report any suspicious activity to police.
