A carjacker shot a man in the city's West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
The 38-year-old man was walking to his Audi parked in an alley with a female friend in the 3500 block of West Chicago Avenue, when two men approached him about 12:50 a.m.
The two men told the man and the woman to lay down on the ground while they took their belongings.
One of the two male carjackers shot the man in the leg, Greer said. The duo then got into the man's four-door green Audi and took off, Greer said.
The victim was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he is was listed in "stable" condition.
Police have made no arrests as Area North detectives investigate.
