Bob Sirott's One More Thing about "Fifty Shades of Grey"

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

One more thing about the "Fifty Shades of Grey" marketing blitz.

You knew this was going to happen. The first official products to cash in on the popularity of the books are coming out just in time for the holidays. Get ready for hosiery, T-shirts, jewelry, and clothing that will be here soon and today the "Fifty Shades of Grey" album was released.

Did you expect Barry White? This record is a collection of fifteen tracks of classical music----all mentioned in the novels. One of the featured artists is Riccardo Muti, the musical director of the Chicago symphony orchestra. I wonder how he feels about providing part of a sadomasochism soundtrack. Even though these were the musical movements that accompanied erotic scenes in the book, author E.L. James says this was the music she played in her west London living room to drown out the noise made by her two sons while she was writing. The record company, EMI predicts this will be their biggest disc since The Three Tenors.

I wonder if people are going to start calling WFMT now requesting "Fifty Shades of Grey."
