CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The CTA reminds riders to avoid the lowered gates Tuesday morning.

A bicyclist landed in the hospital after being struck by a CTA Brown Line train Monday night in Albany Park.

The accident happened right near the Kedzie station, and temporarily shut down all Brown Line trains between Kimball and Belmont.

Officials said the bicyclist went around lowered gates and then got hit.

Paramedics took the victim to Swedish Covenant Hospital, in fair to serious condition.
