
You knew it had to end right? The beautiful stretch of weather we have been enjoying will come to a halt Monday.
A cold front will slide across Chicago and bisect the area creating a large range in temperatures from the upper 60s northwest of Rockford to near 80 down south by Kankakee.
Clouds will increase through the day and rain and storms are likely in the late afternoon and evening.
Tuesday we clear to partly sunny skies, but much cooler air will be in place and highs will touch the low 60s. Tuesday night will be cold in outlying areas with some places dipping into the mid 30s with areas of patchy frost.
Wednesday we start to rebound, but more rain arrives Thursday and Friday with clearing by the weekend. Fall officially begins on Saturday the 22nd at 9:49 AM CDT.
MONDAY: Becomes cloudy with periods of rain and storms in the afternoon. Highs near 77 and lows near 52.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers very early. Highs near 62 and lows near 43.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny and pleasant. Highs near 69 and lows near 51.
THURSDAY: Cloudy with periods of rain and storms. Highs near 68 and lows near 49.
FRIDAY: Cloudy and cool with periods of rain. Highs near 62 and lows near 45.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny, breezy and cool with highs near 66 and lows near 47.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 69 and lows near 49.
