CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The driver of a car that rolled over on a ramp from the Dan Ryan to the Stevenson Expressway Thursday afternoon was not seriously injured and the crash did not have much of an effect on traffic.

The crash happened about 1 p.m. on the southbound I-90/94 ramp to I-55, according to an Illinois State Police District Chicago master sergeant.

Only one vehicle was involved and there was one occupant in the car, the sergeant said. The victim was extricated by Chicago Fire Department personnel and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The ramp was closed for about an hour while crews worked to get the driver out and the car upright, as well as for cleanup. There were no other closures or traffic backups because of the crash.
