CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
Drew Peterson's defense team is turning its brashness on each other following Peterson's murder conviction last week.
Peterson has fired Steve Greenberg, one of his attorneys in court during the trial.
Greenberg was the defense member most vocal against a strategy widely believed to have been a blunder -- the decision to put Stacy Peterson's divorce attorney on the stand to say Stacy told him Drew had killed Kathleen Savio.
The move was meant to show that Stacy wanted to extort money from Peterson.
Peterson's lead attorney Joel Brodksy is bothered that Greenberg spoke with the media about the firing.
So he did too.
And he lit into Greenberg saying the guilty verdict was Greenberg's fault.
"Absolutely sour grapes from Mr. Greenberg. He's trying to shift the blame away from himself for this, for the conviction," Brodsky said.
"We all worked hard except for him. He seemed to be more interested in being on Court TV. He was hanging around the Court TV tent, media room. Mind wasn't on the game," Brodsky said.
Brodsky said Greenberg's firing was based on job performance, not any personal differences.
