Police believe alcohol was a factor leading to a crash that injured four people, including a three-year-old boy, near Detroit's Eastern Market.
Police say a man driving a Buick slammed into a pickup truck on the exit ramp from northbound I-75 to Gratiot Avenue around 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Witnesses say the impact flipped the Buick and sent it crashing into the back of car hauler. Rescue crews used the Jaws of Life to remove the driver, who was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
Two men in the pickup and the three-year-old suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Henry Ford Hospital and are expected to fully recover.
